In the morning, in presence of the army chief, PSO Choudhury, general officer commanding of 9 Infantry Division Major General Masud Uddin Chowdhury and National Defence College Commandant Major General Abu Tayeb Muhammad Zahirul Alam were decorated with the rank of Lieutenant General.
Deputy director general of DGFI Brigadier General Golam Mohammad, Brigadier General Mohammad Ashab Uddin and Composit Brigade Commander Brigadier General A K M Muzahid Uddin were adorned with the rank of Major General.
