Dhaka, May 26 (bdnews24.com)—Professor SMA Faiz, Dhaka University's incumbent Vice Chancellor, will continue in office until a new VC is appointed, an education ministry circular said Sunday.
"The President and Chancellor has conferred upon the incumbent Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor SMA Faiz the responsibilities of continuing in the same capacity till a new VC is appointed from a panel of three candidates elected by the DU senate," the ministry said.
The decision will take effect from May 31, the day the Prof Faiz's tenure expires.
