The new syllabus was made public on PSC’s website on Tuesday.
From now on, the BCS preliminary tests will be two-hour-long, 200-mark MCQ exams.
Pass marks for the viva-voce have been raised by 10 percent to 50 percent but the marks needed to clear the written tests have remained unchanged at 50 percent.
As per the new system, a score below 30 percent in a written test will be considered a zero score.
