President Hamid, PM Hasina mourn Qayyum Chowdhury's death
President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have condoled the sudden death of celebrated painter Qayyum Chowdhury.

The 82-year-old Ekushey Padak and Independence Award-winning artist collapsed Sunday night on stage of Bengal Classical Music Festival being held at Dhaka's Army Stadium.
He was rushed to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where doctors declared him dead.
Press Secretary to president, Ehsanul Karim, and Press Secretary to the prime minister, AKM Shamim Chowdhury, told bdnews24.com that both Hamid and Hasina expressed shock over the gifted artist's death.
They also consoled the grief-stricken members of his family.
