The authorities have prepared the congregation sites well ahead of the occasion.
Like every year, the main congregation will be held at 8:30am at the ‘National Eidgah Maidan’ next to the High Court, said a media statement from Islamic Foundation.
Members of the Cabinet, judges, and diplomats will gather there along with ordinary citizens.
Five Jamaats are scheduled to be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque with the first starting at 7am.
The later congregations will be held at one hour intervals – 8am, 9am, 10am and 11am.
Dhaka’s last congregation will be held at Azimpur Choto Daira Sharif Masjid at 11am.
A total 652 Eid-ul-Azha congregations will be held in 568 areas in the metropolitan, said a notice by the Dhaka City Corporation (South).
Police say that they have done everything to maintain order during prayers.
Two Jamaats will be held at Dhaka University, at 8am and 9am.
Chittagong
Prayers will be held at 190 locations for Eid-ul-Azha in the port city.
The two main congregations – one organised by Chittagong Central Eid Jamaat Committee will be held at the Outer Stadium area at 8:30am.
The other by Chittagong City Corporation will be at 7:45am at Jamiatul Falah Central Mosque.
The CCC will organise Jamaats at 41 other locations besides these two, said Public Relations Officer Abdur Rahim. “All preparations have been completed.”
“Prayers will be moved from the field to adjoining mosques if it rains too hard.”
The congregation at Baklia City Corporation Stadium arranged by CCC will be held at 8am, at Laldighi Jame Mosque at 8am and at Jalalabad Arefin Nagar at 8:15am.
Sholakia
Congregation at Kishoreganj's historic Sholakia Eidgah will be held at 9am. Imam Maolana Farid Uddin Masud will lead the prayers.
The government has arranged for two special trains to carry devotees to the historic prayer site from Mymensingh and Bhairab in Kishoreganj.
One of the two trains will leave for Sholakia from Mymensingh at 5:45am and another from Bhairab in Kishoreganj at 6am, president of the Sholakia Eidgah Committee and Deputy Commissioner of Kishoreganj SM Alam said.
Sylhet
The main Eid-ul-Azha prayers in Sylhet will be held at 8:30am at the Shahi Eidgah. Imam Mawlana Abdul Karim bin Mushahid of Bandarbazar Central Jame Mosque will lead the congregation.
Prayers at Govt Aalia Madrasa ground will be held at 7am and at Hazrat Shahjalal Jaame Masjid at 8am.
The congregation at Jamia Madania Islamia Kazir Bazar Madrasa will begin at 7:30am.
Prayers at Tilagarh Shah Madani Eidgah Maidan will start at 7:45am. More congregations were scheduled at Gousul Ulum Jamia Islamia Pashchim Peer Moholla Madrasa at 8:15am.
The one at Pathantula Nababi Eidgah will begin at 8am.
The first congregation at Dakkhin Surma Silam Chaker Bazar Shahi Eidgah Maidan will start at 7:30am and the second one at 8:30am.
Several other Eid prayer congregations will be held in the city.
Rajshahi
The main congregation of Rajshahi will be held at the Shah Makhdum (R) Central Eidgah ground 8am. Imam Maolana Mostafizur Rahman of Dargah Mosque will lead the prayer.
The second largest congregation in the division will be held at Barha Rasta at Shaheb Bazar at 8am.
Congregations will be held at 9am at Tikaparha Eidgah, Sultanabad Mosque Complex Eidgah, Hatem Khan Boro Jame Masjid, Nowdaparha Eidgah ground, Nowdaparha Central Truck Terminal Maidan and Rajshahi Rail Station courtyard.
Other Jamaats are scheduled at 9:30am at Rajshahi University Central Jaame Mosque, Police Line Eidgah ground, Shirail Eidgah, Postal Academy Eidgah, Ahle Hadith Central Eidgah and Mahishbathan Cemetery ground.
Barisal
The main congregation of Barisal will take place at Hemayet Uddin Central Eidgah ground at 8am.
Barisal City Corporation Mayor Habib Kamal, the divisional commissioner, deputy commissioner along with political leaders of different parties and others will participate in the congregation.
But the division's largest congregation will be held at Charmonai Darbar Sharif ground at 9am. Charmonai Pir Maolana Mufti Syed Mohammed Rezaul Karim will lead almost 20,000 people's prayer in the Jamaat.
Two Jamaats will be held at multiple places in Barisal.
Among these are congregations in Jame Koshai Mosque, Baitul Mukarram Jame Mosque and Police Lines Jame Mosque with first Jamaat at 8am and second at 9am. Ebadullah Jaame Mosque will hold congregations at 8am and 9:30am.
Additionally, many other congregations are scheduled in 30 general wards of the city.
The bigger congregations will be held at Nechharbad Chharchina Darbar Sharif ground in Pirojpur at 8am, Mirjaganj Hazrat Iaruddin Khalifa (R) Darbar Sharif in Patuakhali ar 8am, Kamil Madrasa Complex in Jhalkathi at 8am, Anjuman-e Hemayet-e Islam ground in the city at 8am, BM College Jame Mosque at 8am and Baitul Aman Mosque Complex in Uzirpur at 8:30am.
Rangpur
The main congregation in Rangpur is scheduled to be held at Collectorate Eidgah at 9am, It was announced on behalf of the district administration Sunday morning.
Deputy Commissioner Farid Ahmed said congregations will be held at the Court Jame Mosque, at 9am and 9:30am, alongside the main Jamaat.
It has been decided that Eid congregations in other places of the district will conclude by 10am. However, if weather goes awry prayers will take place inside the mosques, according to the DC.
Congregations from 9am to 10am will be held at city's Karamatia Jame Mosque, Jila School ground, Police Line Eidgah, Munsiparha Cemetery Eidgah ground, Nurul Ulum Madrasa ground in Jummaparha, Kamal Kachhna Jame Mosque, Rangpur Carmichael College ground, Rangpur Medical College ground, Bus Terminal Mosque ground, Mahiganj Shahi Mosque EIdgah ground and more than a hundred other places.
Khulna
The main congregation in Khulna will be held at 8am at the Circuit House ground.
Maolana Mohammad Saleh, Khatib of Town Jaame Mosque, will lead the prayers, said a media statement by Khulna’s Information Bureau.
The second gathering will begin at 9am at Town Jaame Mosque. The third will follow in the same place.
All congregations will abide by schedule if the weather is favourable.
A congregation will be organised at Khulna University ‘Masjid Chattar’ at 7:30am.
The first gathering at Faraziparha Baitul Aman Jaame Mosque at Moylapota will be at 7:45am and the second one at 8:45am.
More gatherings will be held at Government BL College ground, Hazi A Malek Darus Salam Eidgah and Bayra Baytul Mamur Jame Mosque at 8am.
The ones at KDA Inter-district Bus Terminal, Khanjahan Ali Thana Eidgah Maidan Shiromoni and Maheshwarpasha Sarardanga ground will begin at 8:30am.
The Eid prayers at Koyra Baitul Hamd Jame Mosque will start at 9am.
Separate prayers will be held at the various mosques in the 31 wards in the city corporation.
