The machine that had printed Bangladesh's Constitution in 1972 will be handed over to the ministry of Cultural Affairs for preservation at the National Museum.
The Crabtree Double Demy Two Color Offset Press, imported from the UK, was declared out of order in 1986, said a press notice by the Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has endorsed the plan to preserve and exhibit the machine because of its historical significance, it said.
It is at present kept at Dhaka's BG Press under the Directorate of Printing and Publication.
