Dhaka, July 14 (BDNEWS) – Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) mayor Sadek Hossain Khoka Thursday inaugurated Sayedabad City Bus Terminal.
Three bus terminals of the Dhaka city have been modernised at a cost of Tk 50 crore funded by the World Bank (BB).
The terminals recently modernised include Syedabad, Gabtali and Mohakhali.
About one and a half years back renovation and modernisation works of these terminals started.
Mayor Sadek Hossain Khoka inaugurated the Syedabad City Terminal by unveiling the plaque and allowing vehicles to ply on it at noon. Later, he spoke at a brief rally at the Terminal.
Syedabad Inter-district Bus Owners' Association president Nabiullah Nabi chaired the function while commissioner Kazi Abul Bashar, Association general secretary Saiful Islam and local word commissioners, among others, spoke at the rally.
The mayor promised to develop the terminal further in future and urged all to use the terminal abiding by the law.
