Dhaka, June 17 (bdnews24.com)— Majeda Rafiqun Nessa, a career diplomat, has been appointed ambassador to the Philippines, the foreign ministry said Thursday.
She will replace the current Bangladesh envoy Ikhtiar Momim Chowdhury.
Majeda had her post graduate degree in economics from Dhaka University before joining the foreign service in 1986.
Mother of two children, she served Bangladesh missions in Tashkent, Ankara and Kuala Lumpur in different capacities.
