Khulna’s rail links with the rest of Bangladesh have been restored four hours after three coaches of a freight train derailed.

Khulna Railway Station Master Aminul Islam said trains resumed around 10pm on Thursday.
Three coaches went off the tracks near Daulatpur around evening cutting the port city’s rail communications.
Daulatpur Police Station OC Shafiqul Islam said the train was shipping rice from Kushtia to Khulna’s Khalishpur.
Three of its coaches derailed blocking the main line.
Station Master Islam said it took several hours for the rescue train to remove the coaches and restore rail links.
