Dhaka, June 17 (BDNEWS) - Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi on bilateral and international issues during her four-day official visit to Japan between July 12 and 15.
A Japanese Embassy press release Friday said Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, accompanied by a suite, will pay "an official working" visit to Japan.
"The government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the Prime Minister, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and Bangladesh," it said.
Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will hold meeting with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and will attend a dinner hosted by him on July 14.
During her stay, the Prime Minister will be received an audience by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan on July 15, the release said.
She will leave Tokyo for Dhaka in the afternoon of July 15.
During her visit, a memorandum of understanding to send trainee workers is likely to be signed between the two countries, official sources said.
"We are now working on the matter. There are some 125-150 industries which would take Bangladeshi workers as trainee," said the source. "It is an important opening for Bangladesh," he said.
