Decomposed body found in Jurain public toilet

mortuary-dmc-100824-01.jpgA partially decomposed body has been found in a public toilet underneath a rail bridge in Dhaka’s Jurain.

The body was recovered on Friday morning and sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue, said Sub-Inspector Md Kamal Hossain of Shyampur Police Station.

Police have yet to confirm whether the body is male or female, but say that the estimated age is around 16.

SI Kamal said, “Though the body was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, their colour is unclear due to the state of decomposition. The head has turned into a skeleton. There is a crack on the forehead portion. The death may have been due to a blow.”

“The rest of the body is partially decomposed. Rope and hair have been collected from the scene as evidence.”
