Dhaka, June 20 (bdnews24.com)--Career diplomat Abdul Hannan has been appointed Bangladesh's envoy to Switzerland, said the foreign ministry on Sunday.
Currently, he has been serving as Bangladesh ambassador and permanent representative to the UN office in Geneva.
Hannan, who joined the foreign service in 1986, did his masters degree in economics from Chittagong University.
During his diplomatic career, he has served in Bangladesh missions in Muscat, Moscow, Kolkata, Ottawa and Karachi before taking up his assignment in Geneva.
