The officials will also have to have five years field experience to get the job of private secretary to a minister, state minister, deputy minister or a secretary.

The administrative cadre officials will have to be in the government for six years to get appointment as Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and eight years, including field experience, for the job of additional deputy commissioner.

The public administration ministry issued the Posting Policy for BCS (Administration) Cadre Officers with these provisions on Wednesday.

In the gazette for the policy, the ministry said it was made to make the administrative cadre officials more efficient and dynamic.

According to the policy, assistant commissioner will be posted to the divisions except their own division when they join the administrative cadre.

No official will be transferred during probationary period, but the government may transfer some officials to other districts in the same division for administrative reasons, the policy says.
