Dhaka, Feb 12 (bdnews24.com) – The government Tuesday appointed Ahmed Ataul Hakim as the new Comptroller and Auditor General, an official said.
Chief justice Md Ruhul Amin is expected to swear in Hakim later Tuesday, said Kazi Mohammad Aminul Islam, secretary to the Chief Adviser's Office.
Hakim replaces Asif Ali, as he ended his five-year term.
Hakim is the most senior official in the accounts cadre and previously worked as the Comptroller General of the Defence Finance Department.
