Government appoints new directors to four medical colleges

Four brigadier generals have been appointed the new directors of medical colleges in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Bogra and Mymensingh.

The Ministry of Public Administration or MOPA announced the names in an order on Thursday.

Brig Gen AKM Nasir Uddin has been appointed the new director of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He will replace Brig Gen Mohammad Mizanur Rahman.

Brig Gen Md Zamilur Rahman will replace Brig Gen AFM Rafiqul Islam as director of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

At Bogra Medical College Hospital, Brig Gen Golam Rasul will replace Brig Gen AKM Masud Ahsan as its director. 

At Mymensingh Medical College Hospital Brig Gen Parvez Kabir will replace Brig Gen Md Nasir Uddin Ahmed as director.

The former directors will return to the army.

The ministry, in a separate order, appointed Brig Gen Md Zakir Hasan to the post of chief health officer at Dhaka North City Corporation.

Brig Gen SMM Saleh Bhuiyan had been holding the post until now.

Brig Gen SM Shamim Uz Zaman has been appointed as a joint secretary to the Ministry of Defence, according to the MPA order.
