The actor's corpse was taken to FDC at around 10:30 am. Co-artists, directors and other filmdom professionals saw him off with a heavy heart. His first namaj-e-janaza was held there with thousands of people thronging the venue.
Veteran actor Razzak, FDC managing director ANM Badrul Amin, Kazi Hayat, Chashi Nazrul Islam, Nasiruddin Dilu, Riaz, Zahid Hassan and Afzal Hossain attended the janaza among others.
The coffin was scheduled to be conveyed to the central Shahid Minar for allowing maximum number of people to pay homage to their favourite film star.
From Shahid Minar, Manna will be taken to his village home in Tangail for burial.
The veteran actor suffered a heart attack Sunday and died at United Hospital in Gulshan.
His wife Sheli Quader, a Biman employee returned from Dubai Sunday night.
A traumatised Sheli told bdnews24.com, "I am so shocked that I can hardly say anything. He was quite alright when I left for Dubai. I can't simply accept that he is no more."
