Police have recovered explosives and bomb-making materials from an office of the Jamaat-e-Islami in Dhaka’s Paltan area.

Paltan Police Station OC Morshed Alam said that a raid was conducted at the party’s Dhaka city unit office around 1.30 pm on Wednesday.
He told bdnews24.com that a police patrol, which was passing by the area, became suspicious after seeing a car parked in front of the office.
Explosives, bomb-making material and leaflets were found from the first floor of the building that houses the office.
OC Alam said that the no one was in the building except some of the office staffs. No one was detained over the haul.
