‘I’ve wanted to cry for a year, but I couldn’t,’ says father of Mughdho

It has been a year since Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho was killed in the July Uprising, but his father says he has not been able to shed a single tear.

“I’ve tried again and again -- but I can’t cry,” he said, describing the grief as something that turned him to stone.

Mugdho’s brother said the only thing keeping them going is the outpouring of love from people across the country.

“The way millions have stood by the martyrs, that’s what we hold on to,” he added.
