Chittagong, July 23 (BDNEWS) – Nearly two-thirds area including the whole east zone of the port city remained without electricity since 1 pm Saturday due to a breaker blast while synchronizing with Khulshi-Jalalabad power sub-station from Kaptai hydroelectric centre.
Though the high officials of the power station had been observing the repair work staying there they could not confirm how much time it would take to complete the work.
A 3-member probe committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
Some areas of Halishahar, Pahartali and Agrabad of the port city remained in the dark till the filing of the report.
