RAB members injured in attack during Narayanganj raid

One of them is in a critical condition, police say

At least three members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have been injured in an attack during a raid in Narayanganj’s Masdair.

They were attacked around 2pm on Tuesday near Boalia Canal, said RAB-11 Commander Lt Col HM Sajjad Hossain without disclosing their identity.

Around 2:30pm, he told reporters that the force will disclose later how the attack unfolded and who were involved.

Fatullah Model Police chief Mohammad Mahbub Alam said one of the RAB members was sent to Dhaka because his condition was critical.

“The other two are receiving treatment in Narayanganj,” he said, adding that they have no further information on the attack.

However, additional RAB members were seen deployed at the scene along with a police team.
