Chuadanga, Jan 28 (bdnews24.com) –Bazlul Huda, one of the five convicted killers hanged for the 1975 murder of independence leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was buried Thursday at his village home in Alamdanga, Chuadanga.
The ambulance carrying the former army officer's body reached Boalia village at around 9am. His cousin Nurul Huda received the coffin.
Huda was buried at his family graveyard at around 2pm, after his namaj-e-janaza attended by locals.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed the review petitions of the five detained convicts, their last legal scope for deferral of the death sentences. They were executed in the early hours of Thursday.
