A trawler with more than 100 passengers have sunk in the Meghna River near Bhola’s Manpura.

Bodies of five passengers including that of a child were recovered from the spot of the mishap on Thursday, Manpura police OC Humayun Kabir told bdnews24.com
He added the vessel set off for Manpura from Kalatali around 10am and sank within half an hour in heavy rain.
“Most of the passengers were rescued with help from fishermen but around 20 are still missing.”
Kabir said that the coast guard is searching for the trawler and those missing.
