Dhaka, July 5 (BDNEWS) – The government Wednesday appointed Anwarul Iqbal, additional inspector general of police and first director general (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), as the new inspector general of police.
He will replace Abdul Quaiyum, who was appointed IGP on April 6 in 2005.
Iqbal is likely to take over the charge Thursday.
