The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has warned against a "fraudulent" job notice and work order being circulated in its name.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry said the fake circular falsely claims that 161 people will be recruited under Package-13 through an outsourcing firm named Khandaker Traders.

The document mentions positions such as security staff, lift operators, computer typists, and office assistants. It instructs that the appointments take effect immediately, with salaries to be paid through the firm’s account.

The ministry said the circular used a fabricated memo number dated Sept 7, which has “no basis” in official records.

It also falsely bears the name and signature of Abul Bakar Md Touhid, claiming him to be a deputy secretary of Planning Wing-3. In reality, he currently holds the post of joint secretary (Planning and Development Sub-division-1), the ministry said.

The ministry confirmed it has no involvement with the notice and has not issued any such appointment order.

It urged the public to remain alert and not fall victim to fraudulent recruitment scams.
