Two school students riding a motorcycle have died in a collision with a truck in Gopalganj’s Muksudpur Upazila.

The accident occurred on Tuesday at the Dhaka-Khulna highway, said Muksudpur Police chief Abdullah Al Mamun.

The dead are Rafsan Rafi and Anuj Karmakar, both 10th graders at Government Saber Mia Josimuddin SJ Model High School.

CCTV footage of the accident has been shared on Facebook, which shows the bike crashing onto the road after colliding with the truck.

Two riders were thrown off the motorcycle and injured, while the truck lost control and crashed into a roadside tree.

“As the accident happened on the highway, the matter has been reported to the Bhanga Highway Police Station.
