Brahmanbaria, Mar 16 (BDNEWS) – Police arrested seven JMB cadres during their two-days massive raids at different places in Brahmanbaria.
The detainees were identified as Alamgir (28), Sohel (25), Arafat (26), Sheikh Mohammad Sumon, Hossain (28), Alamgir and Jilani.
Police sources said they have conducted raids at least at a dozen of places to nab most wanted JMB Majlish-e-Shura member Salauddin and other cadres of the banned Islamist outfit on the last two days.
During police interrogation, Alamgir, Sohel, Arafat and Sumon admitted their involvement and also revealed the list of financers in the August 17 series bomb blasts, police added.
The detainees were taken before Brahmanbaria court Thursday noon for 10 days remand.
Police said they are continuing raids in Brahmanbaria to nab JMB leader Salauddin.
