Le Méridien Dhaka, a luxury property of Marriott International, has appointed Gregor Schmidt-Kiefer as its new general manager.
Schmidt-Kiefer brings more than two decades of international experience in luxury hospitality, with a career spanning Europe, the West Asia and South Asia.
His background covers hotel operations, commercial performance, and guest experience across a range of high-profile properties.
Most recently, he served as hospitality director at Wirefox Hospitality, where he oversaw a portfolio of boutique hotels across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Prior to that, he held the position of General Manager at Marriott Karachi Hotel and Area General Manager for the O'Callaghan Collection in Dublin. [PLS FIX CASES]
In his new role, Schmidt-Kiefer will oversee all aspects of Le Méridien Dhaka's commercial and operational performance, while working to strengthen the hotel's standing as one of Dhaka's premier luxury lifestyle destinations.
Reflecting on his appointment, Schmidt-Kiefer said Bangladesh presented a wealth of opportunity.
"Bangladesh is a country filled with possibilities, and it is inspiring to see the way the destination and its tourism landscape continue to evolve," he said.
