Bangladesh has decided to suspend next week’s Higher Secondary Certificate examinations due to the ongoing violence surrounding the quota protest movement.
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee said on Thursday that the exams set for Jul 21, Jul 23, and Jul 25 will be postponed.
The committee said the new schedule for the exams would be announced at a later time.
The education boards were unable to hold the HSC exams on Thursday as violence sparked between quota protesters, the police, and pro-Awami League factions.
The government had previously announced the closure of schools, colleges, and universities due to the violence.
