The interim government has announced a change at the helm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, or CAAB, just six weeks after a shake-up at the top.
Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, who was serving as air commander at the Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haq in Chattogram, has been appointed as the new chairman of CAAB.
He is expected to assume his new role within the next seven working days, as per the official order issued on Friday.
Air Commodore Sadikur Rahman Chowdhury, who had taken over as chairman at the end of June, has been reassigned as the director of the Training Directorate at the Air Force Headquarters.
