Teen killed in collision between two motorcycles in Sherpur

Local residents say his father had also been killed in a road accident in the same area several years ago

A teenager has been killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Sherpur's Jhenaigati Upazila.

The crash happened on Friday evening in the Ahmadnagar area on the Sherpur–Rangtia road, according to Sub-Inspector Abul Hashem of Jhenaigati Police Station.

The victim, 17-year-old Shanto Mia, was critically injured in the collision and was taken to the Jhenaigati Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared him dead.

Local residents said his father had also been killed in a road accident in the same area several years ago.

Police said no case had been filed in connection with the incident as of Saturday morning.
