Police have seized more than 600 wild birds from Dhaka's Savar and arrested a man for illegal trading in them.

Ashim Mollick, inspector of Bangladesh Forest Department's wildlife crime prevention unit, told bdnews24.com that officers arrested Lal Miya, 35, in a drive conducted on a tip off at Savar's Zirabo around 2:30am on Wednesday.
On the basis of information from him, police seized more than 600 birds including Parakeet, Parrot, Myna and Munia locked in cages inside a warehouse based on.
Lal Miya, who hails from Sherpur, had brought the birds from Bogra and Rajshahi to sell them in Dhaka, said the forest department official.
