Malaysian developer Muthu Nedumaran, who has been working for over three decades on typing of Indian languages, has built the app.

Sellipi is described as an input method that is compatible with any Android app.

It will suggest words as you type and even correct your spellings.

The app contains three keyboards, an English one, another with English fonts for phonetic Bangla typing and another with Bangla fonts, called Inscript.

The app is free and can be installed from Google Play.

Nedumaran told bdnews24.com he believed the large vocabulary, number typing and error correction features of the app would turn Bangla typing into an enjoyable affair.
