Dhaka, Sept 14 (BDNEWS) – The 2-day long Exim Bank 26th National Judo Championship begins at the National Sports Council (NSC) gymnasium Thursday.
President of Bangladesh Judo Federation and the director general of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Major General M Akbar Akhtar will inaugurate the championship.
A total of 223 players from 27 teams are taking part in the championship. Among them 142 players will compete in the men's events while 81 players in the women's events.
The participating teams are Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Rifles, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar, VDP, PWD, Dhaka University, Bangladesh Water Development Board, Dhaka, Barguna, Rajshahi Divisional Sports Association, Rajshahi, Noakhali, Laxmipur, Feni, Jessore, Jessore Education Board, Nilfamari, Pirojpur, Chapainawabganj, Naogoan, Bogra, Bhola, Khulna, Narail, Tangail and Munshiganj.
