Dhaka, Dec 08 (bdnews24.com) – Bangladesh clinched their place in the SAFF semi-finals, defeating Sri Lanka 2-1 at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Enamul Haque scored both goals for the hosts, the first coming just seven minutes in. His second came in the 65th minute, to snatch victory over the visitors after E Channa leveled the match for Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh would have gone to the next level with just a draw on Tuesday, instead they stormed through as Group B champions.
Sri Lanka, already through to the semis with 6 points, before going up against the hosts, ended the match as Group B runners-up.
