Siddique made adviser

Dhaka, Jan 7 (bdnews24.com)— Prime minister Sheikh Hasina has appointed retired major general Tareque Ahmed Siddique an adviser, with the rank of a cabinet minister. UPDATES
Her press secretary Abul Kalam Azad told bdnews24.com Wednesday that Siddique's was fifth such appointment.
Earlier in the day, former cabinet secretary and AL election committee co-chair HT Imam, former civil servant Dr Moshiur Rahman, eye specialist and Sheikh Hasina's personal physician Dr Syed Modasser Ali and Jahangirnagar University VC Dr Alauddin Ahmed were appointed with similar status.
All five will enjoy ministerial status, pay and perks, according to the Press Information Department.
