They were declared elected after completion of vote-counting Wednesday afternoon.
Balram Poddar, the chief election commissioner and outgoing vice president of the student front of the main opposition, announced the election results.
Ripon bagged 1,008 votes while his nearest rival Kamrul Hasan Ripon 763.
Roton got 660 votes. His nearest aspirant Hasibul Islam Mithu bagged 307 votes.
A total of 2,100 councilors, out of 2,476, cast their votes Tuesday.
The votes were counted at the Dhanmondi office of the AL President and Opposition Leader Sheikh Hasina, who is also the organisational leader of the BCL.
The elected president and general secretary later placed wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Museum.
Later, they went to meet Sheikh Hasina.
As per a decision of Hasina, BCL leaders who passed SSC before 1993 were not eligible for the leadership of the student organisation.
The age limit for the new leadership was 29.
The decision dissatisfied the senior leaders who could not vie in the election due to the bar. They also went on rampage during the council session at the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) Tuesday.
