Leader of the Opposition Raushon Ershad has urged the government to make the highest allocation for education in the proposed national budget.

Taking part in the budget discussion, the Jatiya Party leader also proposed an extension to the age limit for job application from 30 years to 35 years.
She said, “Education is a very important sector; it should be given the maximum priority.”
She also said the government should ensure the quality of education maintained.
The proposed budget for the 2015-16 fiscal year has allocated some Tk 343.70 billion, or 11.6 percent of the total budget, for education and technology.
