The main gate of the office was unlocked around 11:50am on Thursday.
But heavy deployment of security forces continued in front of the office.
The office was kept under tight surveillance by security forces for the last few days.
Although the gate was unlocked, water cannon and armoured vehicles were still seen near the office, said bdnews24.com Chief Political Correspondent Sumon Mahmud.
Several other party leaders including Vice Chairman Selima Rahman, Khaleda's advisor Sabih Uddin Ahmed, central leaders Shirin Sultana, Rasheda Begum Heera, Sultana Ahmed, were in the Gulshan office.
Khaleda has been confined at her office since Saturday night amid heightened political tension after her party and the ruling Awami League announced parallel programmes on the first anniversary of the 10th national polls, on Jan 5.
Police blocked her way when she wanted to head for the party’s Naya Paltan office that night.
On Monday, police blocked Khaleda again when she prepared to head for the party’s ‘Murder of Democracy Day’ programme. They put the main entrance under lock and key.
The BNP called for a nonstop nationwide transport blockade in protest from Tuesday.
