Tarique Rahman will launch a second round of campaigning in Bangladesh’s northern region ahead of the parliamentary election on Saturday.
The BNP Media Cell made the announcement on Thursday.
According to the BNP chairman’s travel itinerary, Tarique will travel by helicopter on Saturday, addressing rallies in Thakurgaon at 11:30am, Nilphamari at 1:30pm, and Dinajpur’s Birampur at 2:30pm.
Tarique began campaigning in the north on Jan 29, travelling by road. He attended election rallies in Rajshahi, Naogaon, and Bogura on that day, before attending one in Rangpur on Jan 30, and in Sirajganj and Tangail on Jan 31.
The BNP chief launched his election campaign from the Alia Madrasa grounds in Sylhet on Jan 22 before attending campaign events in Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Brahmanbaria, Kishoreganj, Narsingdi, and Narayanganj.
On Jan 25, he attended election rallies at the Polo Ground in Chattogram, Feni, Cumilla, and Narayanganj. He attended rallies in Mymensingh, Gazipur, and Dhaka’s Uttara on Jan 27.
He led rallies in Barishal and Faridpur on Feb 2.
The BNP chief has attended a total of 24 election rallies across the country outside Dhaka. In the capital, he has also held two rallies, one in Korail, and the other in his Dhaka-17 constituency of Banani.
