Dhaka, Mar 12 (BDNEWS) – The 14th death anniversary of anti-terrorism leader Moin Hossain Razu will be observed Monday.
He was killed on this day in 1992 while leading an anti-terrorism procession on the Dhaka University campus.
The procession was brought out instantly after a gunfight between the armed cadres of BNP's student front JCD and Awai League's student wing BCL.
A brilliant student of Soil Science Department of Dhaka University, Razu was killed when the armed cadres opened gunshots at the procession.
Dhaka University authorities in collaboration with Razu Sangsad and some student organisations erected a huge sculpture named 'Razu memorial sculpture' on TSC square on the university campus to keep his memory alive.
He was a member of the central committee of Bangladesh Students Union.
Different organisations including Razu Sangsad has taken programmes to observe the death anniversary of Razu.
