With Durga Puja, the largest Hindu religious festival, drawing near, potters in the Northbrook Hall area of Old Dhaka are hard at work. Idol-making is now in full swing, with artisans working day and night to craft figures of Goddess Durga alongside Lakshmi, Saraswati, Kartik and Ganesha.
