Hawkers occupy New Market footpaths, streets once more
A drive was carried out to evict hawkers from Dhaka's New Market area. Now, five months later, things seem to be back to business as usual. Once again, hawkers are occupying streets, footpaths, and overbridges. Their makeshift stalls and trade are narrowing the road and restricting traffic, leading to more congestion in the area.
