SRHR is also essential to create a “just, equitable, and inclusive” world.
The event in Dhaka will last from May 3 to 5.
Access to those rights entitles individuals to choose their sexual partners, decide on the time to have sex, choose whether and when to have children, and seek information.
They will review the progress and challenges of implementing SRHR in Bangladesh and pursuing the related SDGs.
The conference, at the Bangla Academy, will also create a national platform of various stakeholders.
The UNFPA expects over 500 participants to attend the meet daily.
There will be participants from international organisations and embassies, including those of the Netherlands and Sweden, countries that are supporting the conference along with the Bangladesh government.
