Six more people died with measles symptoms across Bangladesh over the past 24 hours, while 84 new measles cases were confirmed.
In its Monday bulletin, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said two people died in the Dhaka Division, two in Sylhet, and one each in Chattogram and Barishal between 8am on Sunday and the following 24 hours.
The health directorate has been publishing measles data since Mar 15.
Official figures show 101 people have died from measles and 962 with measles symptoms, taking the toll to 1,063 in nearly six months.
Dhaka Division has recorded the highest number of deaths with symptoms at 432, followed by Sylhet with 169. Rajshahi recorded 93, Mymensingh 78, Chattogram 76, Barishal 60, Khulna 40 and Rangpur 14.
Another 1,221 people with symptoms sought hospital care in 24 hours, with 1,215 admitted: Dhaka 430, Chattogram 270, Sylhet 158, Barishal 139, Khulna 90, Mymensingh 73, Rajshahi 29 and Rangpur 26.
Hospital admissions have reached 159,801, with 153,448 discharged.
Suspected cases total 181,035, while confirmed cases stand at 20,646.
Not all patients are tested, so the actual number of measles cases cannot be determined.
