Four blockages were found in his heart after he was hospitalised on Oct 19.
The 42-year-old actor, simply known as Riaz, was in the sets of ‘Krishnapakkha’, when he felt the discomfort.
The film, based on a novel by Humayun Ahmed, is being directed by his wife Meher Afroz Shaon.
Riaz’s wife Mushfika Tina told bdnews24.com’s Glitz section that there was cause for worry as the actor’s health condition was good after his release on Saturday.
“But it will take time for him to talk and walk normally. The doctor has prescribed at least two months of bed rest. Six months will be better,” she said.
“Shaon will give the detail in a media briefing,” she added.
Shaon said Riaz was worried about the film.
“He wants to return to work soon. But we asked him to follow the doctor’s advice. He will resume work only after he fully recovers,” she said.
Scriptwriter Lutfor Rahman Nirjhor had said quoting the doctor that there were four obstacles in Riaz’s heart and a stent had to be inserted in the main artery on the right.
