Speaking at her office on Wednesday, she said that Bangladesh was moving forward, as she referred to the success rate of 78.33 percent for this year's Higher Secondary Certificate exams.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid along with chairpersons of all education boards handed over the results to the prime minister Wednesday morning.
"The education quality will go up , when it reaches everyone," said Hasina.
Education is the key for a poverty-free Bangladesh, she said.
"The education minister feels bad over some people's comments. There are some people whose only job is to criticise."
Hasina congratulated the students and said: "We will set up a university, either public or private, in every district of Bangladesh."
The prime minister published the results online and spoke with students of Dinajpur through video conference.
