Sachin Tendulkar has announced retirement from the one day internationals , signalling the beginning of the end to a flamboyant career spread over 23 years.
An Indian television channel reported on Sunday that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has published the little master’s statement about his intent to say good-bye to one-day cricket.
"I have decided to retire from the One Day format of the game,” Sachin reportedly said in his statement to the BCCI chief N Srinivasan.
He said he felt “blessed to have fulfilled the dream of being part of a World Cup wining Indian team.”
