National cricketer Taskin Ahmed ties the knot

It came as a bolt from the blue for the fans as cricketer Taskin Ahmed tied the knot hours after returning from South Africa on Tuesday.

The Tigers landed Dhaka in the morning and by the evening the 22-year-old paceman was no longer a bachelor.

All the arrangements were ready to get him married to Syeda Rabeya Naima, who studies at a private university in Dhaka.

The two have known each other for long and got engaged a year ago.

With little time at hand for preparing for the Bangladesh Premier League, the bowler picked the very day he landed in Dhaka from a foreign trip.

Taskin's father MA Rashid has sought blessings from all for his son.

The ceremony was attended by friends and relatives. Rashid told bdnews24.com that they have plans for a reception in a convenient time.

Taskin debuted into international cricket in 2014. He took five wickets in his debut ODI. He has played five tests, 32 ODIs and 17 T20s for Bangladesh so far.
