Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the squad on Monday evening, rewarding Jayed for his fine performance in domestic cricket.

Nurul Hasan and Nazmul Hossain Shanto, who debuted in Test against New Zealand last year, have returned to the squad.

Nurul is the third wicketkeeper in the squad after Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das.

Pacer Shafiul Islam has also been recalled.

Captain Shakib Al Hasan is back from injury. His replacements in the Test series against Sri Lanka - Abdur Razzak, Tanbir Hayder and Sunzamul Islam – have been dropped.

Teenaged off-spinner Nayeem Hasan has also been dropped before he could make his debut.

Besides Mustafizur, Nayeem, and Mosaddek Hossain, pacers Yeasin Arafat and Abu Hider have been kept standby.

The players have been asked to report to new head coach Steve Rhodes on Wednesday.

Bangladesh are flying to the Caribbean islands on June 23 to play two Tests, three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals.

The first Test will begin in Antigua on July 4 and the second in Jamaica on July 12.
