Australian envoy congratulates Tigers for storming into World Cup quarterfinals 

Australian High Commissioner in Dhaka Greg Wilcock has congratulated Bangladesh cricket team on their reaching the quarterfinals for the first time by beating England on Monday.

Australia is the co-host of the World Cup.

 

“My congratulations also to Mahmudullah Riyad for his century, a first for Bangladesh in a World Cup match,” the high commissioner said in a statement. 

 

He wished “all the best” for Bangladesh’s match against New Zealand in Hamilton on Mar 13.
